Last weekend we released a trumpeter swan that had been admitted as a misplaced/orphaned juvenile in August.
The swan had been observed over several days around a campground/on the side of the road opposite the closest body of water.
It was cared for here until we knew it could fly and defend itself from predators. We timed the release with the current trumpeter swan migration.
It was released in an area where over 70 swans have been seen passing through in the last few weeks.
Have a great life, swan!
