Skeletons make regular appearances at our center, even when it isn’t close to Halloween! Even though the results can look a little creepy, x-rays are a great tool that help us diagnose injuries or illnesses in our patients. They help us see broken bones, swelling in joints or muscles, and signs of respiratory disease.

Often, they are crucial in determining how to best treat a patient, but they aren’t cheap! Donations made to our center help pay for medical care, including x-rays like the ones pictured below. The x-rays shown are of a red squirrel and a barred owl that came to us this summer. What body parts or bones can you identify?
